Riding forever Original
140cm x 110cm
Riding Forever depicts modern commanders riding cyborg horses across the wheat fields of Ukraine. Horses, traditionally symbols of old warfare, are here reimagined as machines — a metaphor for how the violence of the past is revived in contemporary form. The work explores the repetition of war throughout history and how historical narratives — particularly from World War II — are instrumentalized to justify new conflicts. Past and present merge into a continuous cycle of power, destruction, and ideological reuse.

War, power, and history — these themes have been on my mind for a long time. Riding Forever and Collateral Innocence are part of a series in which I explore how past and present conflicts intertwine.Riding Forever shows cyborg horses crossing Ukrainian wheat fields, while Collateral Innocence places symbols of innocence on a chessboard of modern warfare. Both works are now available as limited edition prints — I’m excited to finally share them with you.
